New Web Site Design for September

You may notice we’re currently undergoing a site re-design. The old look was a bit cliched, a bit web 2.0 wannabe, so instead we’re trying to implement a format which is both modern and at the same time, more usable. Our core goal is to improve usability for the many visitors we’re now attracting.

Inspired partly by water-colours, we’re trying to move the new design to a much more open, free-flowing design which has a lot more white space. We are also trying to improve our core template, so that we can implement a more streamlined widget section.

As this is a work in progress, expect things to move around a bit. Ultimately our goal is to make the Xivos site a lot more easy to read and navigate, as well as introducing a whole new range of functionality. The great thing about WordPress is that it’s so easy to make new templates, in fact too easy!
