Some interesting results regarding the web-searching habits of Asian web surfers (which includes Australia) has been released by comScore.  While us Australians are clearly dwarfed in numbers of total searches by our much more populous neighbours, we ranking somewhat highly for number of searches performed per month by visitor. There seems to be a correlation between overall economic development and the number of searches performed by an end user, with Korea, Japan and Singapore taking the lead. Interestingly enough, Taiwan bucks this trend as more searches are done by your average Chinese surfer. A bit surprising given Taiwan has been ahead of China in terms of development and tech for decades. Malaysia gets the wooden spoon for searches per searcher, and is a good comparison to Australia given our somewhat similar search metrics.
